Cabbage Peas Stir Fry


  • 1 small cabbage shredded finely
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2” piece ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 1 dry red chilli broken to bits
  • 1 fresh slit green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat the oil in a wok
  2. When hot, add the mustard seeds
  3. Add the dry red chilli
  4. When it crackles, add onion. Fry till light brown
  5. Add ginger and garlic. Fry till fragrant
  6. Add the cabbage and peas. Sauté on high heat for 2 minutes
  7. Add tomato and green chilli. Lower the heat, put the lid and sauté for 10 minutes
  8. Add salt and turmeric powder
  9. Fry on medium heat for 2-3 minutes
