
Ingredients–
- 8-10 pieces chicken drumsticks
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 2-3 tsp tandoori masala
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 2 tsp salt, or to taste
- Melted butter, for basting
- Onion, lemon wedges and fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Method –
- Make slits in the chicken pieces
- Sprinkle some salt and lemon juice and rub into the slits
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt and rest of the ingredients, except the butter and mix well
- Pour this marinade over the chicken and rub it well into each chicken piece
- Cover and refrigerate overnight
- Take the chicken out of the fridge about 1 hour before cooking
- Heat oil in a cast iron skillet and cook the chicken pieces basting with butter whenever flipped
- Garnish with onion, lemon wedges and coriander leaves
