Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce


  • 225 gm spaghetti
  • 1 chicken breast, cut into small pieces and seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 4 tbsp pesto sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grounded black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 gm Amul cheese


  1. Cook spaghetti in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions
  2. While pasta is cooking, proceed with the recipe
  3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a pan
  4. Add the chicken, cook till tender and set aside
  5. In the same pan, heat the cream on low heat.
  6. Stir in the pesto sauce and cook on low heat for 2 minutes
  7. Add the chicken pieces
  8. Season the sauce with salt to taste
  9. Add cooked pasta and a little pasta water and coat the spaghetti in sauce
  10. Add salt as desired
  11. Remove from heat, stir in grated cheese and serve
