Boiled Masoor Dal

Ingredients

  • Red masoor dal – 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Onion – 1 medium, chopped finely
  • Green chillies – 2, chopped
  • Coriander leaves – chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard oil – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 3 cups

Method

  1. Boil the dal with turmeric powder, salt and water in a pressure cooker
  2. When the dal cools down, add chopped onion, green chillies and coriander leaves
  3. Drizzle the mustard oil
  4. Serve with rice
