
Ingredients–
- 5 pieces of fish
- 1 large tomato
- 1.5 cups chopped spinach
- 2 slit green chillies
- 1” piece of ginger
- 1/2 tbsp nigella seeds
- Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp mustard oil
Method –
- Rub salt and turmeric powder on the fish.
- Marinate for 15 minutes
- Chop the tomato and spinach
- Chop the ginger and then grind in a mortar pestle with nigella seeds and 1/4 tsp salt
- Heat mustard oil in a kadhai
- Fry the fish and set aside
- In the same oil, add the ginger nigella seeds paste
- Add the tomatoes and fry till the oil separates
- Add the slit chillies
- Now, add the spinach and sauté till the water evaporates
- Add 2 cups of warm water and let it boil
- Reduce the heat and add the fish
- Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 10 minutes
