
Ingredients–
- 6 pieces of Rohu fish
- 1 large potato cut into thick wedges
- 1 small head of cauliflower
- 1 medium tomato, grated
- 2 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 green chillies, slit
- 1 tsp panch phoran
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp mustard oil
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Method–
- Rub salt and a little turmeric powder on the fish pieces. Set aside for 15 minutes
- In a small bowl, add ginger, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder. Mix it with a little water and set aside
- Heat oil in a Kadhai
- Fry the fish lightly and set aside
- In the same oil, fry the cauliflower and potato and set aside
- In the remaining oil, add panch phoran
- When the seeds splutter, add tomato and sauté till oil leaves the sides
- Add the masala paste and fry till oil releases
- Now add the cauliflower and potatoes and sauté on medium heat for 2-3 minutes
- Add 2 cups of warm water and let it come to boil
- Add the fish, reduce the heat and cover with a lid
- Cook till the vegetables are tender
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice
