
Ingredients–
- 2 cups half cooked rice
- 1 cup boneless chicken, boiled
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (capsicum, carrot, beans, peas)
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 4-5 cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method –
- Heat the butter, add flour and cook till the raw smells goes
- Switch off the gas and add milk very slowly, stirring continuously so that no lumps are formed
- Add chilli flakes, oregano and parsley
- Make sure it’s a thick sauce
- Heat butter in a pan. Add chopped garlic
- Sauté the vegetables adding salt and pepper. Set aside
- Take an oven proof dish
- Pour rice. Add chicken and vegetables
- Add sauce
- Repeat this layer
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top
- Drizzle 1 tsp of Tabasco sauce
- Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes and grill for 5 minutes
