Chicken Wings in a Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

For 1st Marination –

  • 750 gm chicken wings
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

For 2nd Marination –

  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 3 tsp all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Oil to deep fry

For Sauce –

  • 2 tsp finely chopped ginger garlic
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 3 tbsp schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Method –

  1. In a large bowl, mix with wings with the ingredients for 1st marinade
  2. Set aside for 30 minutes
  3. Add the ingredients for 2nd marinade and mix well with the wings
  4. Heat oil in a wok
  5. Fry the wings on medium high flame for 5-6 minutes
  6. Keep aside all the chicken pieces
  7. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan
  8. Add ginger garlic and sauté for 10 seconds
  9. Add chopped onion. Sauté till light brown
  10. Now add all the sauces and cook till oil separates
  11. Mix cornflour with water and add this mixture to the sauce mixture
  12. Cook for 10 seconds
  13. Add the fried chicken and cook for 1 minute
  14. Garnish with sesame seeds
