

Ingredients–
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1/2 tsp nigella seeds
- 2 green chillies
- 1 pinch asafoetida powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 dry red chilli
- 1 tbsp mustard oil
Method–
- Peel and cube potatoes
- Steam the potatoes till just soft
- Strain the water and set aside
- Heat mustard oil in a pan
- Add nigella seeds
- When it splutters, add dry red chilli and asafoetida
- Add the potatoes, salt and sugar
- Sauté for 2-3 minutes
- Add strained water and cook till water dries up and the potatoes are soft
- Add green chillies and serve hot
