

Ingredients–
- 2 cups joha rice
- 2 bay leaves
- 3-4 cardamoms
- 3-4 cloves
- 1” cinnamon stick
- 1/3 cup cashew nuts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp ghee
Method –
- Wash the rice well and drain out the water
- Spread it on a plate lined with muslin cloth and set aside
- Heat ghee in a kadhai
- Add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon
- Add onions and fry
- Add ginger garlic paste
- Sauté till aromatic
- Add cashews and raisins
- Fry till the onions turn light brown
- Add the rice and sauté on low heat
- Keep on frying till the rice changes colour
- Transfer to a pressure cooker, add salt and water and cook for 1 whistle
