
Ingredients–
- 1 big raw papaya
- 250 gm potatoes
- 1 dry red chilli
- 2 small onions
- 4-5 cloves garlic
- 2 green chillies
- 1” piece ginger
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Method –
- Peel the papaya and potatoes and cut in large pieces
- Make a coarse paste of onion, garlic and green chillies
- Make a paste of ginger and cumin seeds
- Pressure cook the potato and papaya for 1 whistle
- Heat oil in a wok
- Add the dry red chilli
- Add the onion, ginger and chilli paste and fry till slightly brown
- Add turmeric powder and sauté for 10 seconds
- Add the boiled vegetables
- Add salt and sauté for 5 minutes
- Add 1/2 cup of warm water
- Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes
- Add the ginger cumin paste
- Cover and cook till done
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
