Aloo Bhujia


  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 big clove garlic, grated
  • 1/2” piece ginger, grated
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • A pinch of red chilli powder
  • A pinch of amchur powder
  • 1/8 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/8 tsp garam masala powder
  • 4 medium sized peeled and chopped potatoes
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
  3. Add onion and sauté till pink
  4. Add grated garlic and ginger. Mix well
  5. Add turmeric, red chilli, coriander and garam masala powder and mix well
  6. Cook for 2 minutes
  7. Add potatoes and salt. Mix well. Cook on low flame till potatoes are cooked
  8. Sprinkle amchur powder. Mix well
  9. Serve with plain paratha
