Bharwa Bhindi (Stuffed Okra)


  • 250 gm okra, washed and dried
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp amchur powder (dry mango powder)
  • 1/4 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)

Method –

  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. When the oil becomes hot, add caraway seeds
  3. Add the okra and stir
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes
  5. Remove the cover and cook for another 4-5 minutes till the okra becomes tender
