Easy Murgh Malai

Ingredients

  • 500 gm chicken
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1.5 cups yogurt
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 pinches cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 pinches clove powder
  • 10 almonds ground to a paste
  • 100 ml fresh cream
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Blend the yogurt, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and chillies in a mixer
  2. Heat oil and sauté the chicken for 3-4 minutes
  3. Add the yogurt purée and salt
  4. Cover and cook till chicken is tender for about 15 minutes
  5. Add the powdered spices and ground almonds
  6. Sauté for about 5 minutes
  7. Add the cream and simmer for 2 minutes
  8. Serve hot
